Ashtanga Assisting Mentorship Program is a unique training opportunity designed for yoga practitioners and teachers who want to deeply explore the Ashtanga Yoga method. This intensive 3-month daily program allows participants to uncover deeper levels of this practice.
Throughout the program, participants will be guided to learn and implement various skills, leading to understanding how this method works in real Mysore classes. Whether your motivation is to elevate your personal practice or to learn how to assist and eventually teach in the Mysore room, this program will help you gain a deeper understanding of the Ashtanga method and build confidence as a practitioner and teacher.
The Structure:
This compact and intense 3-month program includes:
110 hours of practice in the Mysore room, guided by Tina, the founder of ROOM.
50 hours of study during weekend workshops with Tina (7 Saturdays).
36 hours of assisting in the Mysore room (2 sessions per week for 12 weeks).
3 hours of private sessions (1 on 1 sessions on top of all the training days and assisting in the mysore room).

Similar to the Ashtanga method, this training is hands-on and among many other things it will teach you:
To recognize different body types.
Basic human anatomy and body mechanics.
The psychology of the room.
How to hold the space for others.
A repertoire of useful and safe assists, and when to apply them.
The correct vinyasa count and useful alignment tips
How to recognize bad habits and misalignment that can lead to disfunction or injury
How to Apply:
The program is designed to provide maximum guidance and personal mentorship to each trainee. To guarantee this, I have limited the space to 8 participants per training. Applicants must complete a short questionnaire before their application is approved. Participants must commit to 3 months of mysore practice and attendance at all workshop days (exceptions will be reviewed). Upon approval of your application, you will receive an invoice for the training. Your spot is secured only after your payment has been completed.
